This is the ultimate right here. If you're looking for something unlike anything else that has ever been produced, this is it. A Hank Dyed Mountain Parka. We don't need to say more, but we will. This mountain parka stands out with its original indigo ripstop fabric, crafted entirely from yarn-dyed indigo threads. The indigo-on-indigo design is achieved through a meticulous ancient hand-dyeing process at the yarn stage, giving each piece a one-of-a-kind character. Lined with smooth satin, the fabric is thicker, stiffer, and textured with a natural unevenness, setting it apart from typical ripstop materials. These qualities not only enhance its strength and durability but also allow the parka to age beautifully, developing unique fades over time.
The artisanal dyeing process adds a personal touch to every garment, with slight color variations showcasing the charm of its handcrafted origins. However, due to the nature of hand-dyed indigo, care is needed. Rain, sweat, or friction may cause the dye to transfer or fade, lending the parka its evolving story—but potentially affecting other garments. Treat it with care and let its journey unfold naturally.

Fit Notes: In general, Samurai tops fit a bit small, so we decided to size up once in this to an XL. This was the right call as you can see the chest measurements is only 22.83 in this piece. It gave Tommy that oversized look he wanted to match the fit. We would recommend sizing up at least once in this piece. Tommy is 5'10,' 165lbs with a 40" chest. His North American size is M and his Japanese size is L.
